We are currently seeking a 3rd Shift Quality Auditor to join our team and help ensure that only high-quality, in-tolerance parts reach our customers.
Schedule:
Sunday – Wednesday
7:30 PM – 6:00 AM
Shift Premium:
Additional $1.25/hour for all hours worked on 3rd shift
Position Summary:
The Quality Auditor is responsible for inspecting parts, performing audits, and supporting production teams to maintain quality standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring product compliance, identifying issues, and improving quality at the source.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
- Conduct first article inspections on new and prototype parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, and geometric tolerances
- Measure parts using inspection tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.)
- Visually inspect parts for defects such as scratches, dents, or finish issues
- Identify finish codes and verify against specifications
- Record measurements and maintain accurate inspection documentation
- Complete acceptance/rejection tags and communicate findings
- Perform roving audits of work in process
- Troubleshoot nonconforming products and assist with corrective actions
- Train employees on quality checks and best practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with preparing parts for shipment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Previous inspection or quality experience (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances
- Proficient with standard inspection tools and measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform detailed inspections on complex parts
- Ability to troubleshoot quality issues in a production environment
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift 25–50 lbs; occasionally up to 70 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, and move throughout shift
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Work Environment & Expectations:
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE (safety glasses, shoes, earplugs, gloves)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Use downtime productively for housekeeping tasks
