Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
- Lead coding, testing, debugging, and deployment activities for large-scale applications.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, database objects, stored procedures, packages, and triggers.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues by analyzing application logs, system messages, memory utilization, thread activity, and disk performance.
- Optimize application performance and recommend improvements for scalability and reliability.
- Develop technical documentation, system flowcharts, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate application releases, production deployments, and backup/recovery processes.
- Lead technical discussions, mentor development teams, and coordinate project activities.
- Collaborate with business users, QA teams, and project stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Ensure adherence to development standards, coding best practices, and security guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- 15 years of hands-on Java development experience.
- 10 years of SQL database development experience.
- 8 years supporting and enhancing large enterprise applications in a team environment.
- 5 years of experience working in Linux environments.
- Strong experience with:
- Core Java / Enterprise Java
- SQL, database design, stored procedures, packages, and triggers
- Production support and root cause analysis
- Performance tuning and application optimization
- Application debugging and troubleshooting
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, particularly Jira and Confluence.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience migrating applications from legacy mainframe systems to Java/SQL-based platforms.
