Overview
We are seeking an experienced Database Infrastructure Engineer to manage, optimize, and secure enterprise database environments supporting mission-critical business applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Cloud, Windows Server, and infrastructure automation, along with a strong background in performance tuning, disaster recovery, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise SQL Server infrastructure in Azure and Windows Server environments.
- Automate database administration tasks using PowerShell, SSIS, and other scripting tools.
- Manage scheduled database jobs, ETL workflows, backups, deployments, and health monitoring.
- Monitor database performance, optimize queries and indexing strategies, and resolve production issues.
- Implement and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including failover testing.
- Configure and administer Azure infrastructure, storage, networking, and security.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support application deployments and database integrations.
- Support IIS-hosted applications and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
- Maintain documentation, system health, and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure Cloud environments.
- 7 years of hands-on experience with PowerShell and SSIS automation.
- Strong understanding of storage systems, networking, virtualization, and Azure infrastructure.
- Experience with SQL Server performance tuning, indexing, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting critical production environments.
- Experience supporting Power BI Services, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, IIS Administration, and .NET applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Required Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (Mandatory)
- Microsoft SQL Server certification or equivalent database certification preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Enterprise database infrastructure management.
