Job Description
We are looking for a Hardware Validation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in hardware board bring-up, post-silicon validation, and hardware debugging.
The engineer will support pre-silicon and post-silicon validation activities, including prototype board bring-up, power validation, silicon validation, and debugging of hardware interfaces.
The ideal candidate should have experience validating hardware platforms, testing power circuits, debugging board-level issues, and working with low-speed interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
Responsibilities
- Perform hardware board bring-up and debug prototype validation boards.
- Execute pre-silicon and post-silicon validation activities.
- Perform board-level and silicon-level power validation.
- Validate power rails, voltage regulators, and power management circuits.
- Debug hardware issues using lab equipment and engineering methodologies.
- Validate low-speed interfaces including I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, and related protocols.
- Analyze failures, perform root cause analysis, and provide debug reports.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and silicon engineering teams.
- Develop basic automation scripts using Python for validation and testing.
Required Skills
- 5 years of hands-on experience in Hardware Validation / Silicon Validation.
- Strong experience with Hardware Board Bring-Up and Debugging.
- Experience with Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon Validation.
- Experience with Power Validation at board and silicon level.
- Experience validating hardware interfaces:
- I2C
- SPI
- UART
- GPIO
- Experience with hardware debugging and lab validation.
- Basic Python scripting/automation experience.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PDVT / EDVT validation.
- Experience with semiconductor or processor platforms.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment.
- Experience working with embedded hardware systems.
