Metal-Tech Partners is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Bruning, Nebraska facility. This role is responsible for supporting our manufacturing operations through project leadership, product development, 3D modeling, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and work collaboratively across functions to drive innovation and efficiency in production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Lead and coordinate engineering projects from concept to production, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- Develop, review, and implement quality specifications for customer products and internal processes.
- Collaborate with project supervisors, quality control, and floor personnel to provide engineering direction and support.
- Generate quotes and Bill-Of-Materials (BOMs) based on customer requirements and product specifications.
- Conduct cost analysis and recommend design improvements for manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
- Participate in product development including prototyping, testing, and iteration.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of engineering designs, test results, and project documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (Associate degree with relevant experience may be considered).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- General mechanical aptitude and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or mechanical engineering role.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience working directly with production teams and quality control.
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze complex issues and recommend solutions.
