What the job is:
Metal Supermarkets is a metal service center — we cut and sell steel, aluminum, stainless, brass, copper, and more to contractors, fabricators, and everyday customers who need metal cut to size, same day. No minimum orders. We take care of people who need things done right and done fast.
We're looking for a full-time warehouse associate to cut orders, handle material, assist customers at the counter and loading dock, and keep the shop running clean and organized.
This is a hands-on job. You'll be on your feet, working with your hands, operating equipment, and talking to customers every day. If you take pride in doing things right, you'll fit in here.
What you'll do:
- Cut metal orders to customer spec using band saws and hydraulic shears
- Operate a forklift to move and stage material
- Greet customers at the loading dock and load their orders
- Receive incoming shipments, verify material, and put it away correctly
- Keep your work area clean and your equipment in good shape
- Help with inventory and general shop upkeep
What we're looking for:
- Someone who shows up, does the work, and takes ownership of their orders
- Good attention to detail — measurements matter here
- Comfortable on a forklift
- Able to lift and handle heavy metal products regularly
- Good with customers — not a salesperson, just a professional
- Basic math skills; comfortable using a tape measure and calipers
No experience with metal specifically? That's fine — we can teach the material.
