What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator/Designer position at Metal Services of Blooming Prairie, Inc.?
The duties of the Estimator / Design role for Metal Services of Blooming Prairie, Inc. are to project the anticipated costs of each project quoted in order to derive a selling price and to provide standards for the shop and field crews and to prepare an overall schedule that will ensure on-time completion of each job. Utilize Solid Works CAD program to assist customers with developing their project ideas to prepare drawings for use in fabrication of quoted items.
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: BS or trade related education
Experience
Required: Solid Works CAD program experience. Related industry experience. Solid background supporting diverse manufacturing, fixture design and project costing.
Preferred: Minimum of three years estimating and design experience in a similar environment. Machine tool experience with laser, plasma, press brake, tube bending and welding background.
