What are the responsibilities and job description for the Panel Machine Operator position at Metal Roofing Systems?
The Panel Machine Operator will be responsible for performing cutting, framing, and routing of panel products in the sequence required by production. The Panel Machine Operator will also conduct preventative maintenance of equipment and sort and organize scrap materials. The ideal candidate must be able to prioritize based on instruction, adhere to safety requirements, and be detail-oriented.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficiently perform workload based on multiple factors including: staging space, delivery schedule, material availability, and thickness/color/profile
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair on machinery
- Communicate with Sales Department to ensure a quality product
- Load and unload coils onto machines
- Load and unload both customers and supply trucks with forklift
- Follow SOP for packaging and loading panels
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a team player
- Warehouse experience
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. at a time
- Able to operate electronic life, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
- Forklift certification
- Disciplined, dependable, resourceful
