Job Summary:
Metal Pros, LLC is a metal fabricator specializing in highway sign structures, bridge railings, misc. metals, and industrial weldments. The company is looking for a skilled Detailer/Draftsperson with relevant metals experience to interpret our clients’ needs and prepare drawings for our shop. Duties of the Job:
- Diligently review and understand customer design drawings & specifications.
- Layout and check clearances and interferences
- Detail erection drawings and shop drawings for submittal
- Build assembly Bills of Material
- Support purchasing and shop with nesting, templates, running dimensions, etc.
- Orderly assignment of part numbers and organized filing system for all drawings
- Accurate and timely completion of detailing work
Requirements:
- Associates degree or certificate in Drafting or Engineering Technology
- 2 years experience in the structural or industrial field
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Strong 3D modeling & CAD skills
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor or Tekla Structures
- Basic understanding of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel shapes
- Basic understanding of AISC Detailing Standards
