Plant Manager - Custom Metal Fabrication

We are seeking a proactive hands-on Plant Manager to lead and own production performance and overall plant operations in a growing custom metal fabrication company. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives on the shop floor, builds strong teams, and drives operational as well as overall plant improvements.

What You’ll Do

· Own production scheduling, workflow, productivity and on-time delivery

· Staff, lead and develop the manufacturing team with clear expectations and accountability

· Own equipment, facilities and grounds maintenance

· Ensure products meet engineering and quality standards

· Coordinate plant supplies, facilities services, materials, inventory, shipping, and receiving

· Drive continuous improvement, process development, safety, and operational efficiency

· Member of the company lead team

What We’re Looking For

· 5 years proven success leading production teams in metal fabrication or custom manufacturing

and a background as a hands-on metal fabricator

· Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

· Proven track record as an operations and plant leader

· Strong experience with production scheduling, quality control, and shop floor leadership as well as

process development and appropriate equipment selection

· A hands-on problem solver who improves processes and motivates teams

· Applicable working knowledge in basic metals engineering and various metal working processes

(blueprint reading, machining, cutting, bending, welding, finishing, etc.)

· Versed in common Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.); ERP experience a plus

· Proven success in applying Lean principles

· On-time delivery and production reliability improvement

· Manufacturing quality issues are quickly resolved

· The production team operates safely, efficiently, and with clear accountability

· Pro-active and preventive equipment, facilities and grounds maintenance plan in place
