Consider joining Metal Exchange as a Sales Manager-Aluminum Flat Rolled Products. Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for building strong partnerships and delivering exceptional value? Metal Exchange is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager for our Aluminum Flat Rolled Products segment within the Value-Added Products team. As a master distributor serving the North American market, we specialize in providing tailored supply chain solutions to OEMs and distribution partners. This role focuses on expanding our reach in the aluminum flat rolled space, leveraging our strategic global relationships with top-tier rolling mills and our commitment to unmatched customer service.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties of the Role:

  • Plans, initiates and executes the sale of products to customers through regular calls, site visits and presentations.
  • Develops and manages commercial relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Supports the overall Business Unit strategy, develops sales strategies and targets potential new customers to capture market share and maximize profit margins.
  • Works strategically and is committed to increasing top line revenue through sales growth.
  • Understands and applies sound risk management practices to provide customers with a variety of pricing options, while mitigating the associated terminal market and premium exposure, in consultation with our Risk Management team.
  • Prepares customer sales forecasts and contributes toward development of Business Unit budget and growth strategy.
  • Collaborates with the Procurement Team. Requests quotes, places purchase orders, and tracks order status.
  • Collects and records market intelligence from sales activities.
  • Monitors and consistently increases customer satisfaction as the face of Metal Exchange.
  • Provides detailed account of call reports, contact information, and quote opportunities to support sales & marketing programs.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of product lines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience

  • 5 years Metals Industry sales experience
  • Proven track record of consistent high performance.

Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, to meet customer demands and build the business.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to balance and manage multiple business development efforts.
  • Superior sales skills and customer resource management.
  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Strong ability to analyze data to solve problems, understand technical issues and make effective decisions.
  • Enjoys customer interaction including telephone, video, and person to person meetings.
  • Self-motivated and aggressive in pursuing and achieving objectives.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available.

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
