What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Content Designer IV position at Meta?
At Meta, meta.com is our flagship global ecommerce destination for Meta hardware — from AI glasses to VR headsets. We're gearing up for Meta Connect 2026 (September 23–24), our biggest hardware launch moment of the year, and we need to ship content across every surface of the site to convert global attention into purchases. We're looking for a hands-on Senior Content Designer to join the meta.com (MDC) team on contract, partnering directly with the Content Design Director to execute content across product pages, launch experiences, navigation, and growth marketing surfaces in the lead-up to and through Connect. This is an execution-forward role. You'll write, review and ship UX content and product copy at high velocity, working within established content guidance frameworks and in close collaboration with product design, external creative agency (Haus), and cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
Content Execution Across Surfaces
● Write and deliver UX content and product copy for meta.com surfaces including: homepage, product detail pages (PDP), category landing pages (CLP), navigation, checkout, and campaign/launch experiences
● Execute against established content guidance frameworks, brand voice guidelines, and naming conventions — ensuring every string is on-brand, legally sound, and consistent across surfaces
● Adapt content for new product launches, translating product marketing messaging into clear, conversion-focused web copy
● Write for multiple registers: editorial product storytelling, functional UX microcopy, and promotional growth marketing moments (QPs, seasonal campaigns)
Cross-functional Partnership
● Partner closely with the Content Design Director for creative direction, review gates, and quality standards
● Serve as the day-to-day content partner for the creative agency (Haus) — fielding questions, providing context, and ensuring copy deliverables align with content guidance before they go to the Content Design Director for review and approval
● Work alongside product design, product management, growth marketing, and brand teams to deliver cohesive experiences on tight launch timelines
● Coordinate with legal review for new claims, feature availability language, and market/language accuracy
Quality & Velocity
● Hold the content quality bar across every surface that ships for Connect — premium, editorial, concrete, and user-benefit-led
● Balance craft with the cadence of an ecommerce program shipping continuously against hard launch dates
● Flag gaps, inconsistencies, or risks in content early — propose fixes, not just problems
● Maintain awareness of the full content ecosystem across meta.com so nothing contradicts or duplicates
Qualifications
● 7+ years of content design, UX writing, or product copywriting experience — ideally spanning ecommerce, product marketing, or consumer hardware
● Strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on content craft across web surfaces: product pages, landing pages, navigation, and promotional content
● Experience working within content guidance systems, brand voice frameworks, or style guides — and producing consistent work at scale within those constraints
● Track record of executing on tight timelines in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments with hard launch dates
● Comfortable receiving and integrating feedback across multiple review rounds with senior stakeholders
● Experience partnering with creative agencies or external vendors on content deliverables
● Strong editorial judgment — you know when copy is "good enough to ship" vs. when it needs another pass
● Detail-oriented: you catch naming inconsistencies, legal red flags, and tone drift before they ship
● Clear communicator who can articulate rationale for content decisions to non-content partners
● Familiarity with AI-powered writing or content tools is a plus
