Developer Advocate, AI Agents

Meta is seeking an experienced Developer Advocate to support the rapidly evolving landscape of internal AI agent tools built by its own developers and that support our employees. Meta invests heavily in creating and maintaining tools that improve employee productivity and satisfaction. The developer advocate role is an important part of ensuring tools are adopted and used to their maximum potential. In this role, the focus will be on AI-related tools. These tools are reshaping the software engineering landscape. Meta's development of Llama and other AI models and tools puts us on the cutting edge of this space.

Developer Advocate, AI Agents Responsibilities:

• Advocate for and build alignment for AI agent tools and proposals within Meta's internal developer community
• Create code samples, demos, prototypes, articles, and tutorials to engage internal technical audiences and promote our AI agent tools
• Establish credibility with internal stakeholders as a thought leader to enable collaboration and common goals in the AI agent space
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand and support strategies for building and engaging the internal developer community around AI agent tools
• Grow, manage, and maintain a well-received internal profile with Meta's developer community at large regarding AI agent tools
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of software engineering or developer relations experience
• Demonstrated technical digital content, communication, and presentation skills
• Experience leading, building, and supporting developer tools, SDKs, APIs, or platforms
• Proven experience collaborating across engineering, product, and user communities
• Demonstrated experience leveraging data and analytics to understand developer needs and measure effectiveness of advocacy efforts
• Experience advocating for developer needs and demonstrated impact in driving adoption of technical solutions
• 1 years of experience using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or other AI-assisted development tools
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Subject matter expertise on agentic orchestration patterns like ReAct, tool use (or function calling), memory, etc
• Experience building AI-assisted tools either custom or with technologies like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, etc
• Experience presenting at industry conferences or creating technical blogs/articles
• Contributions to relevant open-source projects
