Position Summary
Employed on a per-load-unit basis for a given semester or term. Sole contracted responsibilities are those activities required in the delivering of a course (e.g., preparation, creating course in Canvas, classroom teaching, grading, office hours, etc.). In some instances, there may be some contracted responsibilities for advising or for meeting other departmental needs. Responsibilities Teach one or more accelerated graduate level courses which includes all activities required in the delivering of a course (e.g. preparation, maintaining availability for students, grading, etc.). Learning Management System (LMS) training must also be completed prior to delivering a course. Qualifications
- Master’s degree required; terminal degree preferred.
- One to two years of teaching experience in a college or university setting is desired by not required.
- Demonstrates mastery of Occupational Therapy subject matter.
- Supports teaching with evidence-based inquiry methods.
- Articulates the value of occupation.
- Participates in continue education opportunities and demonstrates current knowledge of the profession.
- Demonstrates ability to engage students in active learning and understands the importance of holistic education.
- Is committed to the development of teaching skills.
