Surgical Tech - PART-TIME
The Surgical Technician is as member of the surgical team who works with Surgeons, Anesthesia, Registered nurses and other surgical personnel in delivering care, pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively. Participation in the coverage of the departmental "On Call" schedule as well as shift adjustment based on the needs of the department is required.
Job Summary:
- Ensures room and all surgical items meet sterilization criteria.
- Maintains sterile field and safe environment.
- Prepares room and instruments for surgical procedure.
- Assists the surgical staff during the procedure, within the scope of practice.
- After procedure, cleans room and prepares for next procedure.
- Identifies emergency situations and exercises judgement when implementing procedures to respond to emergencies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree or technical degree required.
- BLS Provider credentialed from American Red Cross obtained prior to hire date.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date.
**Pay range: $28.69 - $35.86 (depending on experience)**
