Job Title: Concrete Production Laborer

Reports to: Plant Operator
Pay: $17.00/hour^

Job Summary:
Supports ready-mix concrete production operations by assisting with plant housekeeping, material handling, equipment cleaning, preventative maintenance activities, and overall plant operations to ensure safe and efficient production of quality concrete products.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily ready-mix concrete plant operations.• Perform housekeeping around batch plants, aggregate bins, conveyors, mixers, and yard areas.• Remove concrete buildup, dust, debris, and excess material from equipment and work areas.• Assist with plant inspections and routine maintenance activities.• Support plant operators with production-related tasks.• Assist with material handling, inventory organization, and storage activities.• Help maintain washout areas and support environmental compliance procedures.• Operate hand tools and other assigned equipment safely and effectively.• Monitor plant areas and report operational issues to supervisors.• Report equipment issues and safety concerns to supervisors.• Follow company safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.• Assist at multiple concrete plant locations as assigned.• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to follow company safety requirements and procedures.• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.• Ability to perform physically demanding labor in outdoor and industrial environments.• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.• Ability to work safely around moving machinery and production equipment.• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous aggregate production, mining, quarry, or construction experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and loud machinery.• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
