Temporary Position: Alida's Kiosk located in Mesa Mall during holiday season: Running from now until 12/24/24.

Accepting applications for part time shifts.

$17.00/hour

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Cashier is responsible to scan the customer’s selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information to customers regarding products, promotions and item location. The cashier also responds to customer complaints, processes refunds or exchange of items and maintains a clean workspace.

The Cashier shall have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy, be responsible, attentive to customer needs and committed to providing excellent service.

Cashier Responsibilities:

· Welcoming customers, answering questions, help them locate items and providing advice or recommendations

· Operating scanners, cash registers and other electronics.

· Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.

· Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer.

· Processing refunds, exchanges, resolving complaints.

· Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport.

· Following all store procedures

· Maintaining a clean workplace

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge/Licenses:

· 16 years of age.

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Customer service or cashier experience

· Satisfactory results from criminal background and reference checks per guidelines

· Good organizational skills.

· Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly

· Basic math and computer skills

· Strong work ethic

· High level of energy with strong customer service skills

· Accuracy

· Responsible

· Attentive to customer service

· Attention to detail.

· Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members

· Provide excellent customer service

· Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints

· Other Duties as Assigned and relevant to position.

Work Environment:

Job functions are performed in a retail setting.

Physical Requirements: Ability to operate office equipment including, but not limited to point of sale system, telephone computer, fax, and copy machine.

Financial Accountability: Responsible to handle cash, provide change and maintain accurate records.
