- Student Support and Monitoring
- Track student attendance and academic progress using district systems, meeting with students to address attendance concerns and barriers to attendance.
- Develop and implement attendance contracts to support student engagement and prevent truancy.
- Refer complex or unresolved cases to Attendance Case Managers for further intervention and support.
- Communication and Advocacy
- Collaborate with progress monitors, counselors, and administration to address student needs and support attendance improvement.
- Advocate for students by addressing school-related and non-school related concerns that impact attendance.
- Documentation and Data Management
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, interventions, and parent communications.
- Update attendance data in the online system and document next steps for ongoing support.
- Family and Community Engagement
- Conduct home visits to engage families, discuss attendance concerns and connect students with community resources.
- Collaboration
- Meet regularly with attendance secretaries to review student attendance concerns and determine appropriate interventions.
- Work as part of a team to implement attendance improvement strategies across the district.
- Other Duties
- Additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities may be assigned as needed/requested.
- High school diploma or equivalent required for hire
- A minimum of two years of experience working with children/youth required.
- Criminal background check required for hire
- Valid Colorado driver’s license or valid Colorado identification required

Summary
Operating under the general direction of the Director of Access, Opportunity, and Family Partnerships, this position plays a key role in promoting student engagement and reducing truancy across the district. By monitoring attendance, meeting with students, and collaborating with school staff, this position helps identify barriers to attendance and implements interventions to support student success. The position also works closely with families through home visits and community outreach, ensuring students have the resources needed to stay in school. Through data management, advocacy, and collaboration, this role supports district-wide efforts to improve student attendance and academic achievement.
