Woodwork Finisher- Mentor, Ohio
Onsite Position
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work consists of routine tasks, processes and performing operations prescribed by drawings, work orders and procedures
- Work with other associates in the finishing of millwork and casework
- Work as an integral part of the finishing line on major casework runs
-Perform the following finishing operations: Clear Applications including use of lacquer, varnish, polyvinyl, polyurethane, shellac, oil finish, Color Applications - including use of dyes, stains, glazes, wax, Other Applications including the use of waxed and faux finishing
- Ensure batch material matches control finish standard for all work orders
- Maintain all quality standards within staining and glazing operations
- Routinely monitor products for completion of project
- Properly manage all waste per compliance requirements
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Possesses working knowledge of woodworking and general finishing techniques
- Skilled use of sprayers, staining techniques, and hand tools
- Correctly perform all aspects of routine work, meeting quality standards and requirements
- Ability to achieve results in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain awareness of shipping schedules and adjust work capacity needs as required
- Keep work areas clean and safe
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, managers and others
- -Share knowledge and ideas
- Perform activities that directly support team outcomes
- Flexibility in cross-training
- Perform duties based on instructions/past practices
- Must be able to respond positively to direction in order to provide assistance to others
- May require some follow-up in new areas

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Grip and grasp tools and parts for finishing; repetitive lifting of materials/parts weighing 5-10 lbs.; standing; manipulation; turning and twisting of wrists and hands
