Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presented attractively
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new grilling techniques or dishes
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy service times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant kitchen roles, preferably with grill or barbecue expertise
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating attention to special dietary needs
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Prior experience with menu planning, catering, or fine dining settings is highly desirable
