Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Deliver food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food preparation to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring a positive experience
- Support team members by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with host/hostess duties when needed
Skills
- Extensive experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Proven ability in fine dining service environments with strong knowledge of food industry standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Experience with OpenTable reservations system or similar booking platforms is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
- Previous restaurant experience in serving roles within hospitality or food service settings
