Position Overview
We are looking for a Mixer / Cleaning Operator to join our dynamic production team. This role involves operating mixing equipment, maintaining high-quality standards for batch preparation, and performing cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure smooth production. You will be responsible for ensuring the consistency and quality of our manufacturing process, handling chemicals safely, and maintaining cleanliness in the production area.
Hours of work - This is a Day Shift position requiring 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with rotating days and weekends.
What you'll do
- Accurately weigh and mix batch components according to formulation sheets.
- Operate mixing equipment, including vacuum lifts, tanks, and pumps, to create required batches.
- Perform quality control checks (sampling and testing) to ensure batches meet specifications.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, ensuring correct palletization.
- Safely transfer chemicals and materials between tanks and containers.
- Clean mixing tanks, coating lines, and other production equipment as needed.
- Change out and label chemicals and cleaning fluids used in production processes.
- Perform weekly preventive maintenance on parts washers and other equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production area according to 5S standards.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE and safe forklift operation.
- All other duties as assigned
Who you are
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain company-issued certification)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Experience with batch mixing, material handling, or industrial cleaning is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and follow equipment operating procedures
- Able to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately
- Strong awareness of safety procedures and ability to follow PPE requirements
- Physically able to lift, move materials, and stand for extended periods in a production environment
- Good time management and reliability in a fast-paced work setting
