The Trial Attorney will handle all phases of property insurance and related litigation for policyholder clients, including case evaluation, legal research, and strategy development. Daily responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and preparing clients and witnesses for testimony. The role includes representing clients in mediations, hearings, and trials in state and federal courts, as well as negotiating settlements that align with the firm’s value-added approach. The Trial Attorney will collaborate closely with colleagues and staff, maintain clear communication with clients, and manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in insurance and civil litigation law, including familiarity with property insurance, coverage disputes, and bad faith issues.
- Hands-on experience with motions practice, including drafting, filing, and arguing substantive and procedural motions.
- Experience appearing in courts, including handling hearings, conferences, mediations, and trial-related proceedings.
- Proven trial skills, including case preparation, examination of witnesses, presentation of evidence, and persuasive courtroom advocacy.
- Experience conducting and defending depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses.
- Active license to practice law in Florida (in good standing); admission to federal court is preferred.
- 3 years of litigation experience, ideally with a focus on insurance, commercial, or civil trial practice.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and case organization.
- Ability to manage a litigation docket independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
