Manager, Patient Financial Services – Physician Billing

Meritus Health is seeking an experienced Manager of Physician Patient Billing to lead our physician billing operations. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll oversee billing processes, drive revenue cycle performance, and ensure patients receive a seamless financial experience.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of billing professionals, fostering growth and accountability
• Oversee charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, and account reconciliation
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and payer requirements
• Partner with revenue cycle teams to improve collections and reduce A/R days
• Resolve patient billing inquiries with empathy and professionalism
• Analyze financial reports to identify trends and implement improvements
• Leverage billing software and EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)

What We’re Looking For

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5 years in physician billing/revenue cycle management, including 3 years in leadership
• Strong technical skills in billing software, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
• Excellent communication skills with physicians, staff, and patients
• Demonstrated success in leading and motivating high-performing teams
