What are the responsibilities and job description for the Institutional GME Coordinator position at Meritus Health?
This position provides operational oversight of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) department and supports the Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education/Designated Institutional Official (ADGME/DIO) regarding residents, fellows, and medical students. Assists the GME department, program directors, managers, and residency and fellowship program coordinators with educational and departmental activities. Responsible for the routine processes for monitoring, data collection/dissemination and organization of accredited and non-accredited Graduate Medical Education Programs.
Education - Bachelor’s Degree or one (1) year of additional experience in an academic medical environment and/or residency or fellowship program in lieu of degree
Experience - Required: Two (2) years of administrative/operations experience in medical or academic setting
Preferred: Experience in medical education or residency/fellowship program
Licensure/Certification - Preferred: Training Administrators for Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) Certification
