Roofing Estimator

Merit Roofing & Waterproofing is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. We are looking for someone who is organized, comfortable working with numbers and technology, and eager to learn and grow within the roofing industry.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• College degree preferred
• Previous roofing or construction experience is preferred, but not required
• Must be comfortable operating a computer and learning different software programs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work accurately with measurements, pricing, and project information
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with the team
• Willingness to learn roofing systems, materials, estimating procedures, and company processes

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and proposals for roofing projects
• Review measurements, project specifications, photos, and other job information
• Assist with calculating labor and material requirements
• Communicate with project managers, vendors, and other team members as needed
• Enter and maintain accurate project information in company software
• Follow up on estimates and make revisions when necessary
• Learn company estimating procedures, roofing materials, and project requirements

What We’re Looking For

Roofing experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. We are primarily looking for someone who is dependable, professional, comfortable with computers, and willing to learn. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are preferred.
