Social Media & Content Specialist

Merit Management Group is looking for a motivated, creative, and knowledgeable Social Media & Content Specialist to join our growing marketing team. In this role, you'll manage social media and create content across multiple client brands, primarily in remodeling, HVAC, and home services, with opportunities to support a growing range of businesses. Position Overview

As our Social Media & Content Specialist, you'll work closely with our Marketing Managers, Graphic Designer, and Digital Marketing Strategist to turn strategy into strong, consistent content and measurable results. Day to day, you'll plan, shoot, edit, and publish content for a variety of brands, engage with their audiences, and track what's working. You'll help launch social strategies for brands building their presence from the ground up and fine-tune existing strategies based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn for multiple client accounts.
• Develop and execute social content based on each brand's audience, voice, goals, and visual standards.
• Stay current on social trends, platform changes, and emerging content formats, bringing relevant ideas to the team.
• Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content, primarily using an iPhone.
• Assist Marketing Managers with planning and directing content shoots.
• Build content calendars and execute campaigns, promotions, and ongoing content.
• Help launch social strategies for brands building their presence from the ground up, and adjust existing strategies based on performance.
• Engage with audiences and monitor social performance.
• Provide monthly analytics and recommendations.
• Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Strategist on boosted posts and paid social efforts.
• Work closely with the Graphic Designer to develop cohesive social content and campaigns.
• Take ownership of projects, follow through, and bring new ideas to the table.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience managing social media and creating content for businesses or brands.
• Advanced knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Strong understanding of social strategy, content creation, and analytics.
• Strong iPhone photo and video skills, including shooting and editing.
• Current knowledge of social media trends and the ability to determine what makes sense for different brands.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and taking direction from Marketing Managers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable using social metrics to evaluate performance and make recommendations.
• Familiarity with boosting posts and working alongside paid digital marketing.
• Professional photography experience is a plus, but not required.
