Our custom cabinet manufacturing company in central Iowa is seeking a Cabinet Assembler to join our production team full-time. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a company known for its craftsmanship, personalized design, and exceptional quality.
Position Summary:
The Cabinet Assembler is responsible for building custom cabinetry from precision-cut components, ensuring each finished product meets our exacting quality standards. This role involves assembling cabinet boxes, constructing and attaching face frames, installing hardware, and preparing completed units for finishing and installation. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, pays close attention to detail, and works efficiently as part of a collaborative production team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble cabinet boxes from pre-cut sides, tops, bottoms, and backs using fasteners and adhesives.
- Build and attach face frames, ensuring tight joints and accurate alignment.
- Install drawer guides, drawer boxes, door hinges, and other hardware components.
- Fit and attach doors to assembled cabinets with precision.
- Verify dimensions, squareness, and fit during and after assembly.
- Inspect materials and finished assemblies for quality, consistency, and durability.
- Operate hand tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with production staff to maintain workflow and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with packaging or staging cabinets for delivery or installation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in cabinetmaking, woodworking, or furniture assembly preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, shop drawings, and measurements accurately.
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
