Our Telecommunications construction client in Columbia, SC is growing and looking for committed, detail-oriented individuals to join their team as ICT Copper/Fiber Cable Technicians. Successful applicants will be responsible for all aspects of copper and fiber cable installation and support: including testing, troubleshooting, documentation and maintenance of twisted pair and fiber optic network cable. Experience working on construction job sites and in occupied buildings (schools, offices, warehouses, etc.) is a plus. Outside plant copper and fiber cabling experience is also preferred but not required.We provide on-the-job and paid classroom training for dedicated and motivated individuals. RESPONSIBILITIESReview proposal and engineering documents and drawings to understand project scope of work and project deliverablesManage equipment, material, and labor resources to complete installation objectivesComplete project as-builts records in real-timeCoordinate with our project management team as required QUALIFICATIONSExperience working with Information and Communication (ICT) network copper cabling and fiber optic cabling projects is preferredOutside Plant experience is desirable but not requiredTwo-year trade school degree in construction, computer technology, electrical or mechanical technology or a related field is preferred (or equivalent work experience)Working knowledge of blueprints and construction documents OTHER REQUIREMENTSWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)Ability to produce results at a high level with minimal supervision
