Sunday 5:30 AM - 1:30 AM, Monday 8-2, Tuesday 8-2, Wednesday 8-2, Thursday 8-2 32 Hours a Week * This position could also work second shift during the weekdays if that is preferred.

Overview:
This position is primarily focused on three branches of production: donuts, muffins, and scones.
- This position creates weekly donut flavors and produces the fillings for them
- This position is the muffin maker, producing about 200-300 muffins per week
- This position is the scone maker, producing about 200-300 scones per week
- Assists with answering phone calls
- Assists with in helping with customer service
- Maintains strict bakery standards for products
- Arrives each day with a clean apron
- Must have reliable transportation as running occasional deliveries may be required
Other job responsibilities include standard bakery roles including: helping with bakery cleanliness, following health department regulations, helping cover shifts when other staff are on vacation, helping with customer service, etc.
Responsibilities (Critical behaviors associated with this role):
- Properly corresponding, baking, and documenting small wholesale orders
- Answering phones
- Help prepare all cake components including buttercreams, curds, jams, mousses, etc.
- This position is responsible for occasionally helping clean the bathrooms and vacuum the hallways
- All staff are required to occasionally help fill in for other staff when they are sick or when they are taking vacation
- Maintain bakery cleanliness
- Be proactive in finding solutions to problems and being an active participant in helping solve bakery problems
- Maintain a positive work environment
- Approach people with kindness
- Avoids sarcasm or deflecting negative feelings with indirect statements
- Do your dishes in a timely manner
- Leave the kitchen cleaner then how you found it
- Being a “team player” is imperative for this role. We are a small business and all staff help each other when needed.
- Making sure your deadlines for product/baking/orders are met
- Making sure you arrive to work consistently at your scheduled time
- Making sure to keep up with production and not let tasks “snowball” for the end of the week
- Making sure to document when product is low and forecasting when you will need product ahead of time
- Meringue Bakery needs staff who are willing to be creative and suggest new menu items and explore unique menu offerings.
- This job may involve helping with cake/dessert deliveries
- Checking out with staff and/or a manager daily when leaving
- Reporting negative client experiences or product mistakes to management
- During high volume weeks, all staff are required to work until the daily job lists are done, even if it requires staying longer than the schedule suggests.

Requirements (expected proficiencies):

Required

- Reliable and clean transportation
- Comfortable using a computer, navigating standard office and point-of-sale systems.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
