Job Description

The Clinic Aide supports the health and wellness of approximately 1,700 students from kindergarten through 12th grade, and approximately 225 staff members. This includes providing basic medical care, administering first aid, managing medications, maintaining health records, and supporting the school health clinic operations under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities Health Services
  • Provide basic first aid and emergency care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes).
  • Maintain accurate, confidential student health records.
Clinic Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the school clinic.
  • Maintain and stock medical supplies.
  • Ensure infection control procedures are followed.
  • Support compliance with health policies and emergency protocols.
Communication & Coordination
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding health concerns.
  • Collaborate with RN, clinic staff, teachers, and administrators.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Record health visits and medications in Skyward.
  • Assist with mandated screenings: vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.
Qualifications Required
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Experience in a clinical or healthcare environment.
Preferred
  • LVN, CNA, or CMA certification or experience.
  • Experience in pediatrics or school health.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with diverse K–12 populations.
  • Vision, hearing, and AN screening certification.
Work Environment
  • School campus with on-site clinic.
  • Standing for long periods; may lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
  • Data entry in Skyward system.
  • Support all grade levels (K–12) across two clinic locations.
  • Occasional attendance at school functions or field trips.
