The Jail Based MAT Clinician will work on-site in Gainesville, FL, providing essential support to individuals in the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. This full-time role involves assessing patient needs, facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, creating treatment plans tailored to each patient's recovery goals, and maintaining detailed clinical documentation. The clinician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective service delivery and connect clients with resources and ongoing care as needed.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and applying therapeutic interventions
- Experience in working with mental health, substance use treatment, and crisis intervention
- Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate with team members
- Ability to manage time effectively, maintain accurate records, and handle confidential information responsibly
- Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment programs and evidence-based practices in behavioral health services
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; licensure or eligibility for licensure preferred (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT)
- Prior experience in correctional or criminal justice settings is a plus
- Commitment to cultural competency and a trauma-informed approach in therapeutic practices
