Meridian Global Staffing Solutions is hiring an experienced Handyman for a facility in Manhattan, NY.

We're looking for a skilled, dependable maintenance professional who can step in and get to work handling a variety of repairs, maintenance needs, and facility improvement projects.

If you have strong hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, sheet rock, plastering, general repairs, and building maintenance, we want to hear from you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll help complete a variety of maintenance, repair, and improvement projects throughout the facility, including:

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs
• Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
• Repair drywall, doors, fixtures, hardware, and equipment
• Assist with facility repairs, installations, and improvement projects
• Complete preventative and routine maintenance as needed
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders
• Inspect areas of the facility and identify repairs that require attention
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5 years of handyman, building maintenance, facilities maintenance experience
• Strong hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, sheet rock, plastering, general repairs, and building maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Able to work independently and complete assigned projects efficiently
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Strong attention to detail

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have your own tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical maintenance tasks throughout the shift

Pay: $20.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience
