What are the responsibilities and job description for the SAT Tutor position at Meriden School District?
The SAT Tutor will assist teachers and students with varied classroom activities, with a focus on SAT preparation in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Mathematics. The tutor will work with students under a teacher's direction to provide individualized and small-group academic support aligned to SAT standards and testing strategies. Will plan, implement, and assess services to provide targeted interventions that support student growth, confidence, and college readiness.
Teacher Certification Preferred
Reports to: Building Principal
Employment Conditions: 5 hrs per day, 5 days per week
Salary:
- $25.63/hour without a Bachelor's Degree
- Certified Teacher - Meriden Federation of Teachers Member- $45.06
- Certified Teacher - Not Meriden Federation of Teachers- $30.00
- Non-Certified Teacher “Shortage Area” with BA, not Meriden Federation of Teachers- Passing Math Test
