What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafeteria Worker - 3HRS/DAY position at Meriden School District?
DESCRIPTION: A cafeteria worker assists in the preparation and serving of all meals. Other duties include: cleaning and sanitizing work stations, running a cash register, putting stock away and any other duties as assigned by the cafeteria manager. A cafeteria worker performs duties that require lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 pounds in weight and being on your feet for the work day.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have knowledge of food techniques, be able to follow written and oral instructions, and operate food service equipment, including computerized cash registers. Applicants should show accuracy and ability in working with figures, manual dexterity, and be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Applicants must be in good health and free of communicable diseases.
SALARY: $18.25-19.25 with the full benefits of the Cafeteria Workers union contract
