Description
- Class Dates: July 6th - July 24thth**
Program Highlights
- Duration: 3 weeks
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Structure:
- Weeks 1–2: Classroom instruction & lab practice
- Week 3: Clinical experience with local healthcare partners
- Personal care skills: bathing, grooming, feeding, ambulation
- Patient advocacy and communication
- Safe patient handling and observation techniques
- Specimen collection and post-mortem care
- Paid training
- Program cost covered by MercyOne (with a 1-year work commitment)
- Guaranteed full-time (12_hour shifts) Patient Care Technician (PCT) role upon completion
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Attendance is mandatory – missing any part of the training forfeits your spot
- This program is eligible for the Iowa state nurse aide exam
- Pre-employment requirements must be completed before starting: drug screen, physical, and background check
- Must be 16 years or older
