Overview:
Under direct supervision completes tasks, according to skill level, to assist surgery personnel in providing nursing care and surgical services
to patients in the operating room area.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous CNA, PCT, and/or phlebotomy experience in acute care setting, preferred
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Education: Successful completion of Medical Terminology Course.
- Certifications: BLS certified. Required certification must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
- Other: Physical requirements:
- The ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- The ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
