🌟 Join Mercy IVC

The Interventional Care Unit (IVC) is an outpatient telemetry area that provides care for an average of 25–30 patients per day. As a day-shift nurse in the IVC, you will deliver both pre- and post-procedure care for patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary interventions. These procedures include cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, ablations, TAVRs, and bronchoscopies.

All patients arrive from home and are independent with their activities of daily living. This position is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week with variable start times.

🩺 What You’ll Do

As a Patient Care Associate (PCA), you’ll work under the direction of an RN or LPN to support individualized patient care and wellness. You’ll be a vital part of a collaborative team, performing both clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks that make a real difference.

✅ What You’ll Need

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in a healthcare career program
• Experience: None required – Mercy provides a 175-hour training program for new hires
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – required within 1 month of hire
  • PCA competencies – completed within 3 months of hire
• Physical Requirements: Ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs, prolonged standing/walking, and physical mobility to perform duties
• Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
