Keys to Freedom Retreat, Relief Staff

Education: Some college preferred; must have a high school diploma or pass a general education development test (GED).

In the Relief Staff Role, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Timely and professional response to guest needs.
• Oversee and assist with meal preparation, presentation, and cleanup for meals, as well as snack replenishment.
• Maintain Serv Safe certification (employer paid training and certification)
• Assure safety in the home:

• Ensure all interior and exterior doors are secure at night.
• Lock kitchen nightly and unlock kitchen for breakfast prep.

• Assist with guest check-in / check-out process.

• Assist retreat day staff in facilitating evening activities as needed
• Oversee ongoing room clean-up and set up, as well as assist with upkeep and cleanliness of the facility throughout the shift
• Responsible for the needs or demands of the situations that may arise in the home throughout the shift with supervision by the Keys to Freedom Retreat Director when necessary.
• Report any major problems/emergencies to Keys to Freedom Retreat Director.
• Serve our mission by providing exceptional customer service and hospitality to all guests.
• Other duties as necessary and assigned.
   

Schedule:

• This position is scheduled on an as needed basis and includes preset scheduling as well as on call as needed. 

  Minimum requirements: 2 weeks or weekend shifts of overnight coverage per calendar year AND 1 -2 days annually for deep cleaning/updating training, etc.

  Additional needs: will reach out as needed for additional coverage, training, and urgent daytime needs during retreat weeks.

• Days:
  • Monday - Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
• Nights:
  • Monday-Thursday, 4:45 PM to 9:00 AM

Mercy’s Residential counseling Program is voluntary, biblically-based, and helps young women ages 13–32 break free from life-controlling issues and situations, including anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, addictions, unplanned pregnancy, and sex trafficking. These residential services are offered free-of-charge. The Mercy Multiplied Center for Wellness and Counseling is Mercy’s free-of-charge Outpatient counseling Program for men and women aged 13 and older. Our Outreach Services train and resource men and women to effectively support and minister to those who are hurting and struggling through workshops, videos, podcasts, discipleship teaching, and other practical resources.
