- 3 / 12-hour shifts
- Day shift or Nights! 7 am -7pm or 7 pm -7am
- 🔄 Rotating weekends and holidays

- Advancement through career ladder to Patient Care Technician (PCT) and beyond
- 📊 Obtain and document vital signs in the electronic medical record
- 🛏️ Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, mobility, and transport
- 🗂️ Provide clerical support as needed
- All PCA duties
- 💉 Phlebotomy / blood cultures
- 🍼 Enteral feeding
- 🩹 Wound care
- 🧪 IV / Foley removal
- 🫁 Trach care and suctioning
- Our PCA training program is an accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program offering hands-on experience in a supportive healthcare environment
- No experience? Mercy provides a 175-hour required training program meeting DHSS requirements (completed within 90 days of hire)
- ✅ BLS required within 1 month of hire
- ✅ PCA competencies completed within 3 months of hire
- 🎓 High school diploma or G.E.D
- 🏥 CNA / CPTC OR enrolled in a high school healthcare career program
- 🤝 Current Mercy co-worker also eligible
- 🎓 Education assistance toward a nursing degree
