⏰ Hours / Shift:
• 3 / 12-hour shifts
• Day shift or Nights! 7 am -7pm or 7 pm -7am
• 🔄 Rotating weekends and holidays

👩⚕️ Patient Care Associate (PCA) Responsibilities:
• 📊 Obtain and document vital signs in the electronic medical record
• 🛏️ Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, mobility, and transport
• 🗂️ Provide clerical support as needed
👨⚕️ Patient Care Technician (PCT) Responsibilities:
• All PCA duties
• 💉 Phlebotomy / blood cultures
• 🍼 Enteral feeding
• 🩹 Wound care
• 🧪 IV / Foley removal
• 🫁 Trach care and suctioning
🎓 Training
• Our PCA training program is an accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program offering hands-on experience in a supportive healthcare environment
• No experience? Mercy provides a 175-hour required training program meeting DHSS requirements (completed within 90 days of hire)
• ✅ BLS required within 1 month of hire
• ✅ PCA competencies completed within 3 months of hire
📋 Qualifications
• 🎓 High school diploma or G.E.D
• 🏥 CNA / CPTC OR enrolled in a high school healthcare career program
• 🤝 Current Mercy co-worker also eligible
