We are currently seeking a passionate individual for the position of Part Time Adult Home Care Aide. In this crucial role, you will be based at the Pleasant Gardens Adult Home, a 26-bed facility which provides 24-hour supervision, personal care, meals, housekeeping, laundry service, transportation, daily recreational activities, and medication management.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Make residents' beds and ensure linens are changed weekly or as needed.
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks according to dietary needs.
- Perform laundry tasks for residents' linens and personal clothing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization through regular housekeeping and adhering to the cleaning schedule.
- Monitor and restock personal hygiene supplies for residents.
- Administer/supervise medication administration and assist residents with daily routines.
- Document incidents and complete the daily census accurately.
- Ensure the safety of resident rooms and common areas, assisting with additional tasks as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Experience working with elderly preferred
- Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing
- Physical Requirements: Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 10-15 pounds daily, may push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally, drive agency vehicle
- Training in First Aid and CPR required
- Successful completion of annual Physical and PPD
POSITION RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: Adult Home Administrator
- Supervises: None
SHIFT 1: Monday 3pm-11pm, Thursday 3pm-11pm & Saturday 3pm-11pm
SHIFT 2: Saturdays 3pm-11pm, Sundays 7am-3pm
SHIFT 3: Friday 11pm-7am, Saturday 11pm-7am
SHIFT 4: Sundays 3pm-11pm, Tuesdays 11pm-7am, Wednesday 11pm-7am
Per Diem also available
PAY RATE: $18.50 hourly
