What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Engineering Intern position at Mercury Systems?
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on hardware and firmware/software/systems
- Document test results, defects, and anomalies in tracking systems
- Support automation testing efforts and script development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, development, and qualification
- Analyze test data and prepare reports on findings
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment as needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
- A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
- Coursework or project experience in testing methodologies
- Familiarity with programming languages (Python, C#, Bash, Java, or similar languages)
- Ability to work both independently and in team environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with test automation frameworks
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git, BitBucket)
- Understanding of product development lifecycles
- Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators)
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Previous internship or co-op experience in engineering
