Job Summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager of RF Engineering to lead a team of RF Engineers across multiple U.S. sites within a centralized engineering organization. This role is responsible for shaping product roadmaps, implementing engineering processes, and driving the development of secure, high-performance microelectronics for mission-critical aerospace and defense applications. The ideal candidate will foster cross-functional collaboration and build trusted relationships across engineering, operations, and program teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful execution of engineering efforts such as development and production support on programs across multiple sites
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the RF Engineering team on programs
  • Implement strategic initiatives and delegate responsibilities to align engineering efforts with business objectives
  • Develop and execute training strategies to ensure the RF Engineering capabilities meet business needs
  • Mentor team members through career development, cross-training, and ongoing engagement with emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Attract, retain, and grow top engineering talent to support Mercury’s long-term growth and revenue goals
  • This position is hybrid and based in Cypress CA (preferred) and open to Oxnard CA or Hudson NH

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a STEM discipline
  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of RF module experience in High Reliability, Aerospace, or Defense Electronics product development and product manufacturing
  • Proven ability to provide technical leadership to product development teams
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational and program goals
  • Experience mentoring engineers and technical personnel to support career growth and team development
  • Strong background in process improvement and root cause analysis
  • Experience supporting proposal development for DoD contracts
  • Ability to define, articulate, and execute technical projects from concept through completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Experience designing, testing and troubleshooting RF and Microwave component/subsystem such as power amplifiers, up-converters, down converters, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters
  • Proficiency with Microwave Office, HFSS
  • Demonstrated success operating within a matrix style organization

Job Details

Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Range for this Position:

  • $115,700.00 - $208,300.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
  • $129,600.00 - $233,300.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
  • $136,500.00 - $245,800.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
