Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated and innovative RF engineering intern for our West Caldwell, NJ location to support the design, testing, and characterization of advanced RF components and integrated assemblies. In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with experienced RF engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, contributing to active development programs while building real-world engineering skills.
Job Responsibilities:

Test and evaluate RF components and modules to verify performance against design specifications

Design, build, and support RF test fixtures for component and system characterization

Generate and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) for RF assemblies

Support ongoing RF development projects and product improvement initiatives

Create and maintain technical documentation, including test results and design data

Provide engineering support for existing RF products under the guidance of senior engineers
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
- Foundational understanding of RF theory principals gained through coursework, academic projects, or internships
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, or similar lab tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and apply new technical concepts in a hands-on environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of RF circuit fundamentals and basic RF design techniques

Experience with RF simulation tools such as AWR, MATLAB, HFSS, or similar EM/circuit simulation software

Familiarity with CAD tools for circuit design and layout

Experience performing RF measurements using Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and related instrumentation
