RF Engineer II

Job Summary

Mercury Systems is seeking the best and brightest talent to help us bring cutting edge technology to mission critical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most. The RF Engineering team is seeking someone who will provide technical leadership to resolve issues that may arise during assembly, production testing, and integration of complex RF/Microwave products. The ideal engineer will demonstrate strong cross-functional collaboration skills, while working effectively with program management, operations, supply chain, and quality teams to support the objectives of a high-impact defense program.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on product troubleshooting in manufacturing and development environments
• Assist with ongoing engineering development projects and product initiatives
• Work with engineers and technicians for offline asset reduction
• Support definition and implementation of producibility improvements
• Work with Lead Engineers on design updates
• Collaborate and effectively communicate with cross-functional product teams
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in High Reliability, Aerospace, or Defense Electronics product development and manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving skills within fast-paced environments, with a proven ability to collaborate and thrive in team-oriented settings
• Experience with test equipment to test/troubleshoot RF/Microwave circuits at the module and component level
• Experience using data analysis tools such as MATLAB and simulation software (Microwave Office, ADS, HFSS)
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required on day one
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Experience testing/troubleshooting analog, digital and mixed signal circuits at the module and component level
• System level troubleshooting for digital, analog, and power circuits
• Transfer to production of new or existing designs
• Familiar with FPGA and Programmable Logic design
• Ability to work on multiple programs in the same timeframe
• Experience in failure analysis/Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations

• $65,200.00 - $130,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
• $73,000.00 - $146,000.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
• $76,900.00 - $153,900.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ",

• the role and related responsibilities;
• prior work experience;
• education, training, skills and certifications;
• internal equity with others employed by Mercury in similar roles;
