What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Principal Electrical Engineer position at Mercury Systems?
Job Summary:
As a Senior Principal Hardware / Electrical Engineer at Mercury Systems, you will serve as a senior technical leader providing strategic direction and oversight to the hardware design organization. You will lead world-class engineering teams in developing the most sophisticated mission-critical embedded technology—from below the ocean to orbiting in space. Drive innovation on the most challenging projects including the world's most secure processing and storage hardware, advanced FPGA RF and signal processing systems, Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) devices, advanced display technologies, and extreme environment electronics that power operations across Space, Air, Land, and Sea.
This role requires serving as a recognized technical authority who drives innovation, establishes engineering standards, and shapes the technical direction of complex programs while ensuring Mercury delivers right-first-time solutions. You will lead proposals with architecting, technical volume writing, and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development, while proactively driving strategic process improvements. At Mercury, we work with an Integrator Mindset, collaborating across sites and disciplines to create novel solutions that directly impact the security of our country and the safety of our world.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to make an impact and not be held back by red tape, typically the case at larger companies. You will gain a depth and breadth of experience in your engineering tool belt, working in a smaller, very collaborative team of disciplined electrical engineers.
Enjoy every other Friday off.
