Product Manager III

Mercury Systems
Huntsville, AL Full Time
POSTED ON 9/9/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/9/2026

Job Summary:

In this role, you have the opportunity to join a growing team as a Product Manager within Mercury Systems’ Signal Technologies Mixed Signal Line of Business. You will collaborate with product leadership, engineering, operations, product marketing, and Line of Business leads to define and execute product strategies that meet the needs of defense and aerospace customers. This role bridges the gap between customer requirements and what can be built—serving as an advocate internally with engineering and operations teams and externally with suppliers, partners, and end users.

You will help evolve an established and expanding product line, applying your technical and business expertise to deliver differentiated mixed-signal solutions for mission-critical applications. You will be responsible for lifecycle execution, roadmap development, documentation leadership, and overall product line performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Driving operational aspects of new product introduction from concept through development, production, and end‑of‑life.
  • Developing and maintaining product roadmaps aligned with customer capability needs in defense, aerospace, and signal‑intelligence markets.
  • Coordinating product roadmaps with the Advanced Concept Group and associated technology roadmaps.
  • Monitoring industry, technology, and competitive trends to ensure product line competitiveness and long‑term differentiation.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering, operations, sales, product marketing, and Line of Business leads to achieve product lifecycle, cost, schedule, and performance goals.
  • Supporting Sales with identifying and capturing strategic customer design wins and providing technical insights to help articulate customer value.
  • Managing product operations, promoting enhancement of standard services and associated revenue opportunities across the Mixed Signal portfolio.
  • Owning all product documentation including manuals, data sheets, user guides, application notes, and release documentation. Technical documentation will be a significant responsibility.
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining accurate, customer‑ready documentation that enhances customer experience and reduces support burden.
  • Engaging with customers, field engineers, and support teams to gather feedback ensuring documentation meets user needs.
  • Establishing documentation standards and quality processes across the product line.
  • Building relationships with customer technical leaders to gain insight into future opportunities, mission requirements, and technology trends.
  • Leading competitive product analysis based on customer interactions and application requirements.
  • Driving creation of sales and marketing collateral aligned with product positioning and roadmap.
  • Developing and execute product launch and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborating with Line of Business leads on financial forecasting including bookings, revenue, and profitability.
  • Developing strategies to increase product line profitability.
  • Owning end‑of‑life planning, long‑term supply strategies, and lifecycle management for all assigned mixed‑signal products.
  • Coordinating End-of-Life mitigation strategies (including lifetime buys, re-spins, and redesigns) with Supply Chain Management and Engineering.
  • Track projects, documentation metrics, and product KPIs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of product management or operations experience in aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or technical/industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software development processes.
  • Experience authoring customer facing technical documentation.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally and engaging directly with customers.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
