Job Summary:
Mercury Systems IPS Data Processing business unit is developing sophisticated mission-critical technology to withstand the most rugged embedded environments. We have a career opportunity for an experience electrical/hardware engineer to play a key role as a key team member developing and sustaining data storage and transfer systems for the Data Systems Product Line, while contributing directly to hardware development efforts on programs.

Job Responsibilities:
- Design electronics hardware using modern schematic capture tools
- Design, develop and test/verify complex circuits, modules or systems to meet requirements
- Support production to resolve manufacturing issues or field failure investigation
- Collaborate with the hardware engineering team to improve processes for design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) and design for test (DFT) activities
- Hands-on individual contributor throughout the development process including schematic design, layout, design verification testing, validation and optimization of hardware design and integration
Required Qualification:
- Typically requires BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Typically requires 4 years hardware engineering experience
- Experience using hardware engineering design tools, such as Cadence Concept, Cadence Capture, Allegro PCB Designer, SPICE, HyperLynx, Mentor Graphics Valydate
- Experience in the use of digital test equipment such as spectrum analyzer and high-speed oscilloscopes
- This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An active DoD Secret Clearance
- Power design experience
- Experience with digital interfaces such as FPGA, PCIe, SATA, I2C, ARINC 429, RS-422, RS-232
- Experience with military test standards, such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-704
- Experience with video input and output processing
- Working knowledge of VITA design standards (VITA 42, 46, 62, 65)
- Experience with Intel PCU design
