Component Engineer, Rotational Engineering Program

College Graduate – Rotational Engineering Program (REP) – start date of July 2027 in Andover, MA or Hudson, NH. 

Mercury Systems is seeking a recent college graduate to join our Rotational Engineering Program (REP), a dynamic opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology that supports the American Warfighter. Job Responsibilities: 

• Perform component reviews, analysis, and assessment against program compliance requirements for space and military programs. 

• Collaborate closely with Electrical Engineers to support the design/development process with component knowledge and selection. 

• Perform various component level obsolescence analysis to identify components going end-of-life (EOL) well in advance to ensure continuity of production. 

• Review component drawings and associated verification data packages. 

• Perform alternate part investigations and generate comparison matrices showing the differences and similarities of the parts 

• Interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers/manufacturers to develop component risk and verification delineation. 

• Facilitate component selection and libraries application through the coordination and generation of the program Bill of Material (BOM) in a collaboration toolset 

• Create, revise, and submit NSPARs for customer review and approval supporting component screening and qualification plans.  

• Develop and maintain appropriate reports, databases and PMP meeting agendas and minutes. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing engineering obtained May 2026 and June 2027.

• A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the application process

• Prior Co-Op or internship experience

• Familiarity with electrical components and characteristics

• Knowledge of electrical circuit design

• Knowledge of component data sheets

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite

• Experience presenting technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment

• Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or engineering concepts

This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. Citizens. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Knowledge of electronic fabrication techniques and processes such as SMT, chip and wire, hybrids, etc. 

• Knowledge of with the design and manufacture of electronic circuit card assemblies

• Knowledge of with the NSMAR and NSPAR forms or/and process

• Understanding of failure modes in passives and packaged active devices

• Basic knowledge or familiarity with environmental testing per MIL-STD-883 , MIL-PRF-38534, 38535, passive components, etc.
